Sunday Offerings

God created us to live in relationship with others. Sharing life through community can create meaningful relationships that aren’t always easy to find. Join us on Sundays during the 10 a.m. hour for one of the following offerings:

Jericho Road: Ark & Temple

The Rev. Richmond R. Webster

There are two experiences of God in the Hebrew scripture. One is the Temple, and it is fixed. The other is the Ark and it is portable, it is in a tent. This semester, we will look at the interplay between the ark and temple, and how it affects the way we worship today.

Faith 101

The Rev. David Hall

Faith!? You need it but how do you get it? Ever wonder what Salvation really means? How about Predestination or Free-Will? When do you bow, genuflect, or make the sign of the cross? We are going to spend 6 weeks answering these and many more basic, everyday questions about Christianity. We will demystify all those churchy sounding words. You will get a chance to understand what Episcopalians believe and what makes us different from other churches. Nothing to read or study unless you want to. Just come on Sunday morning with questions you want answered!

Travelers Class

Pat King

This fall, the Travelers pick up where we left off in Mark’s gospel at Pentecost, with the great commission to the disciples to go into the world and preach the Gospel. The early Christian church movement from Pentecost to the Jerusalem council, by Paul and all the disciples, will parallel the story and timeline of the book of Acts. These will be tremendous lessons lead primarily by Bill Hairston. Join us as we look to grow our hearts and faith together in scripture. All are welcome.

Young Families Fellowship Group

Rhea and George Pelekis

Currently studying the lectionary. All are welcome for Bible-based study and discussion. Led by Rhea and George Pelekis, pelekisr@charter.net or gpelekis@saint-lukes.com. All are welcome.

Children’s Sunday School

Sunday School for children, 4k through 6th grade, is during the 10 o’clock fellowship hour. Parents drop off and pick up in the Children’s Hall on the second floor.

Youth Sunday School

Youth Sunday school includes fellowship and small group time led by an amazing team of Senior High youth. We sincerely hope that this offering will increase the connection between our Junior and Senior High youth and that our students deepen their faith together as a group. Please reach out to youth@saint-lukes.com with any questions!

EYC (Episcopal Youth Community)

We invite all youth, grades 7 through 12, to EYC on Sunday evenings from 5 to 6 p.m. For more information about Youth Ministry, contact youth@saint-lukes.com.
