Day School

2023 – 2024 SLDS Registration

Mission

At Saint Luke’s Day School, children are surrounded by the beauty of God’s house and nurtured in God’s love each day. We exist to promote social, emotional, physical, cognitive, academic, and spiritual growth in a safe and loving environment for children, Infants through Pre-Kindergarten.

An Exceptional Day School Experience

With a staff of 30 trained teachers, St. Luke’s Day School maintains the lowest student to teacher ratio in the area—assuring the personal attention important for a holistic educational experience. A curriculum rich in various, age-appropriate learning opportunities also sets our school apart. Flexible, child-centered activities incorporate language, math, science, and art. Weekly music and Spanish classes further enrich the learning experience and structured physical education sessions complement free play recreation each day.

The Day School is also an extension of the church experience as our children develop spiritually. Church clergy engage with children regularly, including weekly Children’s Chapel in the Nave and bi-monthly Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in the Atrium.

Special events throughout the year, like a Veterans Day Parade, Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Pageant, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Lunch, and Cowboy Day add energy and excitement. Field trips for 4-year-olds include the zoo, botanical gardens, children’s theater, fire station, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I take a tour of the Day School?

Yes you can. Please contact our office and we’d be happy to schedule a personal visit and tour of our Day School Program and environment.

When is registration for the upcoming school year?

Registration begins in January.

Tell me about the teachers in the program?

Our students to teacher ratios are much lower than the state requirements, in addition to being lower than any other school in this area. Our staff of over 30 trained teachers keeps our classroom numbers low and our academic standards high! Also, we have floater teachers rather than substitutes. These floaters help out in classrooms on a daily basis and if a teacher needs to be absent, the floater, who is familiar with the school and children, fills in for the teachers.

What are the enrichment programs at the school?

Our Day School program features respected enrichment programs that cover an array of disciplines and learning opportunities for your children.

What are the rates for the program?

Based on the established quality and standards of excellence of our program, we offer competitive rates and fees. We also offer sibling discounts. If you’d like to know the current rate/fee structure, please contact the Day School office.
